Purpose: This 36-month project will enable Indigenous women across Newfoundland and Labrador to play a leadership role by engaging with stakeholders on priority issues identified at the Provincial Aboriginal Women's Conference in October 2015. Indigenous women will be identified as peer facilitators and will work alongside partner organizations and a Provincial Aboriginal Steering Committee to develop action strategies that address issues such as mental health, violence against Indigenous women, reconnecting generations, and homelessness that were identified in participating communities.
