Purpose: This 36-month project aims to change media practices to improve the visibility of professional women and to establish conditions that strengthen women’s presence and influence in municipal politics. Representatives from the province’s news media will be invited to meet with a view to identifying and applying priority measures in their respective organizations. The organizations will invite local elected officials to participate in consultations to develop strategies that foster greater participation of women in political life. The strategies elaborated will be tested and refined before being shared with other regions.
