|Women in View
|This 36-month project will work with stakeholders and women in the media to increase the number of women directors in television in St. Johns, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Banff/Calgary, and Vancouver. The project will develop a Director Accelerator model through the review and adaptation of existing models in other industries and through consultations with broadcast partners. The model will include a sponsorship component pairing women with a director sponsor. The model will be piloted through the project partners and institutionalized within the framework of the Directors Guild of Canada. The project will develop a diversity resource in order to shift workplace culture and integrate inclusive thinking at every hiring point across the media production landscape.
