Purpose: This 36-month project will identify and address barriers to women's participation in agencies, on boards, and commissions in Prince Edward Island. Partners in government, private, and community sectors will be engaged to develop and implement an action plan to increase the number of women in leadership positions within their administrative boards. The action plan would include a revision of organizations' policies and procedures with regards to recruitment and nomination processes. Organizations will be supported with advice and tools to implement changes to increase women's access to leadership positions in Prince Edward Island.
