Purpose: This 36 month project will increase the advancement of women working in the trucking industry in British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario through the piloting of a sustainable mentorship model. The project will build partnerships between stakeholders and women to identify sector barriers, priorities and opportunities. A mentorship model will be developed and piloted with employers in the targeted communities. The project includes the participation of an existing national advisory committee which supports women in trucking careers and is comprised of representatives from across Canada including women senior managers, HR practitioners and business owners.
