Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||Victoria Womens Sexual Assault Centre|
|Location:||Victoria, British Columbia|
|Purpose:||This 24-month project will address institutional barriers and other factors that limit the capacity of sexual assault centres and community service providers in Victoria, B.C. to respond to the needs of women and girls who are victims of sexual violence. The project will build a network amongst agencies that provide services to women that experience higher rates of sexual violence, such as young women and visible minority women. The agencies will collaborate to: identify promising practices for improving access to prevention and response services; coordinate information sharing, and support community service providers to develop and implement culturally appropriate methods to assist victims of sexual assault.|
