Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards

Recipient Name: Fredericton Sexual Assault Crisis Centre
Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick
Date: 2014-03-14
Value: $156,897.00
Type: Grant
Purpose: This 24-month project will address the barriers that limit the capacity of Atlantic sexual assault centres to engage communities in preventing sexual violence against women and girls. The Fredericton Sexual Assault Crisis Centre will build collaboration between the sexual assault centres located in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador to create an Atlantic Network that will work together to better identify needs, gaps, and promising practices. Building on this new partnership, strategies to address sexual violence will be piloted in communities with local partners, to respond to the needs of women and girls and improve the coordination of sexual violence response services. By working together, sexual assault centres and community partners will strengthen their role in preventing sexual violence and improving access to support services for women and girls.
