Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||YWCA Canada|
|Purpose:||This 30-month project will engage communities to prevent or eliminate cyberviolence against young women and girls across Canada. YWCA Canada, in partnership with its member associations, will engage youth in identifying the issues of cyberviolence affecting young women and girls and expand their understanding of these issues. The project will build collaboration among key stakeholders such as public sector policy makers, justice and legal professionals, violence against women experts and private sector digital market players to respond to the specific needs of young women and girls, and implement strategies to prevent this form of gender-based violence. Other activities include the establishment of knowledge exchange hubs with partners and stakeholders who will support knowledge sharing and strategies with particular demographics in the Atlantic, the West, Ontario and Quebec, including francophone and Northern Aboriginal communities.|
