Purpose: This 24 month project will address violence against women from diverse ethno-cultural communities in Montreal, Quebec City, Laval, Gatineau and Sherbrooke, Quebec. The project will build partnerships and collaboration between community agencies and stakeholders so they can better identify and respond to the specific needs of women and girls who are at risk of, or have experienced, violence in the name of "honour". The project will develop and implement an action plan at the provincial level for various community sectors, including social services, health and education in order to prevent and reduce violence against women and girls in ethno-cultural communities.
