Purpose: | This 24-month project will engage young men in the Edmonton area in ending violence against women and girls. The Council will work with its member shelters, youth mentoring programs, and leaders in male engagement to develop processes and tools to engage young men to end gender-based violence. A promising practice model will be developed for male mentors to provide strategies and tools to shift attitudes and beliefs among young men that support controlling, abusive and violent behaviours. |
