Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre|
|Purpose:||This 18-month project will engage young women, girls, community members, ethno-cultural agencies and service providers in identifying and developing strategies to address violence committed in the name of so-called honour in Ottawa, ON. In collaboration with partners, girls and young women aged 14 to 20 from various ethno-cultural and faith communities who are at-risk, or are victims, of violence in the name of honour, will assist in determining strengths and gaps in existing policies and services. They will then identify priorities to develop a coordinated community response to address this form of violence.|
