Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||Equal Voice|
|Purpose:||This 18 month project will pilot a womens political mentorship project in the 2012 Nova Scotia provincial elections. Equal Voice will undertake targeted outreach to reach women with an interest in running for office and will work closely with the political parties in Nova Scotia. Project participants from across the province will be provided with information about the experience and requirements of becoming a nominee. Women who express a strong interest in pursuing a party nomination will have the opportunity to sign up to be paired with an experienced mentor that can guide and support them through the process. The project expects to offer between 15 and 30 women the opportunity for mentorship.|
