Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||Association féminine d'éducation et d'action sociale|
|Purpose:||This 36-month project will establish a community plan for reducing and preventing violence against women and girls in La Tuque and surrounding villages, in the Mauricie region. The plan will target women of all ages, especially young women aged 1218 and Aboriginal women, and will bring together key local and regional players in a partnership. The organization will set up an advisory group made up of women from the community and resource people to direct the work. A gender-based analysis will be carried out to determine the impact of violence on women. The plan will be based on the discussions and analysis carried out by the organization and its partners, and will help identify the needs and strategic priorities to be addressed in working to prevent and eliminate violence against the women of this remote region.|
