Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||Centre for Public Legal Education Alberta|
|Purpose:||This 28 month project will address gender based violence at Northern Lakes College, which has campuses spread across a large geographic area encompassing rural and remote communities in north-central Alberta. Students will be engaged to identify issues regarding violence against women on campus, with a particular focus on dating violence. Legal resources and tools will be developed to provide legal education related to gender based violence. The project will also conduct safety audits to identify broader safety concerns for women on campus and to inform a campus community plan. The Centre will share the resources and models generated through the project with other rural post-secondary institutions in Alberta.|
