Purpose: This 24-month project targets students at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus and will take a holistic approach to women’s safety issues in identifying and addressing barriers and risks in the university community. The project will establish an advisory committee of representatives of key stakeholders including student groups, faculty, and campus police. The committee will conduct a gender-based analysis of the physical environment, the campus’s policies, organizational culture and attitudes. The project will also establish connections with other universities and colleges in the area to share the lessons learned.
