|Purpose:||This 36-month project will address the range of institutional barriers and other factors that limit community efforts to address the issue of violence against women and girls, including sexual assault, in rural communities and small urban centres. The project will create partnerships and strengthen co-operation among community stakeholders for the purpose of identifying and addressing the needs of women and girls. The community plan will involve women and young girls who have been victims of family and spousal violence in Shédiac, Cap-Pelé and the rural community of Beaubassin-est in New Brunswick.|
