Purpose: This 24-month project will build the capacity of vulnerable and at-risk low-income women and support them to improve their economic security on Prince Edward Island. In partnership with stakeholders and community groups, women will be coached in identifying and addressing multiple barriers preventing their access to support and resources. 150 women will help design and participate in workshops designed to increase their self-sufficiency, awareness, identify and address barriers, and increase interpersonal and employability skills. Protocols will be developed with key stakeholders for the sustainability of this project and to ongoing support of low income women.
