Purpose: The goal of this 27-month project is to assist in the removal of barriers that prevent Aboriginal women from entering leadership positions and to improve the status of Aboriginal women by increasing women’s decision making roles within organizations. The project will support the skill acquisition and development of leadership abilities for 20 women in Saskatchewan through the development and delivery of customized leadership modules, mentoring activities and capacity development sessions. Participants from the previous Aboriginal Women Leaders: Manitoba project will become involved and enrolled in a mentorship network with the Aboriginal Women Leaders: Saskatchewan participants.
