Purpose: This 24-month project will provide Manitoba women who are small business owners with the tools and skills to incorporate new technologies and thereby increase their productivity, profitability, access to markets, and readiness to export. This will be accomplished by providing technology/digital sessions to introduce technology and demonstrate its relevance to business growth; focus groups to assist in identifying technological needs and issues; individual business assessments of technology needs; information on ‘friendly’ lending for the software and hardware requirements; technical follow-up and training on implementation; and aftercare consultation to ensure implementation is aligned to the business strategy. The project will be documented as a pilot that may be used as a model in the Western region.
