Purpose: This 36-month project in New Brunswick will ensure that 195 francophone women, over 50 years of age and between the ages of 18 and 25, have developed knowledge, skills and tools on how they can fully participate in various decision making bodies. This will be done through twelve training seminars on the importance of more women entering politics and how to facilitate their participation in that process. Simultaneously, they will develop an intergenerational mentorship model will be developed to provide young women insight on how the democratic system works, and; create an “Académie des compétences” (Skills Academy) to help them increase their knowledge, and provide the opportunity to share their learning and best practices on how to participate in government and decision-making organizations.
