Purpose: The project builds on the foundation and success of the previous Woman-to-Woman Abuse project funded by Status of Women Canada. A best practice service delivery model will be developed and tested that focuses on the specific service needs of lesbian and bisexual women who have experienced violence within same sex relationships. This service delivery model will be piloted with approximately 20 to 30 participants in 3 communities (Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and North Battleford) and then be shared with organizations throughout Saskatchewan. Work will be done with service providers across the province to ensure their programs and services are accessible to all women, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identification.
Comments: Multi-year project of 36 months.
