Purpose: This 24-month project will develop a formal network between social service organizations and religious institutions to improve access to and quality of services for Muslim women experiencing domestic violence or at risk of violence in the greater Montréal area. In collaboration with key partners, needs, barriers, and opportunities will be identified to collectively improve service delivery including the creation of a formal culturally-aware network of partners and referral protocols between service providers and mosques. Project results including a toolkit developed for religious leaders in the community to promote non-violence will be shared with partners and community members in the area to support the network.
