Purpose: This 36-month project will increase economic opportunities for women working in entry level positions in Prince Edward Island by addressing barriers to their career advancement. Women, community stakeholders, and business partners will collaborate to identify community assets and promising practices to promote career advancement through developing policies that support women in moving out of entry level positions into those of greater responsibility and higher compensation. Members of business associations will be champions in piloting promising practices and will adapt their organizational policies to support women in accessing career opportunities within their workplace. To leverage their results, champions will help develop a collaborative strategy within their networks to replicate successful actions taken.
