Purpose: This 36-month project will increase economic prosperity for tradeswomen in the marine and shipbuilding industry in Nova Scotia. In collaboration with key stakeholders, the project will identify and address barriers that are impacting the retention and advancement for women in this sector, including an assessment of employment policies and human resources practices. Through a collaborative workplace partnership within the marine/shipbuilding industry, stakeholders will develop and implement an action plan design to create more inclusive and respectful workplaces that promote and foster economic prosperity for tradeswomen.
