Purpose: This 30-month project will develop a sustainable mentoring model to reduce barriers to the advancement of women entrepreneurs in the Regional County Municipality of Maskinongé. In collaboration with partners, including a research institute on small and medium-sized enterprises at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, the project will identify the needs, priorities and challenges of local business women. An existing mentorship model used by the organization will be adapted to respond to the specific needs of women entrepreneurs. Local partners, including economic development and employment centres, will be further engaged in supporting the new model in the target communities.
