Purpose: This 36-month project is a partnership between the White Ribbon Campaign and the Toronto Argonauts Football club to deliver a gender-based violence prevention initiative in secondary schools in the Greater Toronto Area. The project will engage Argonauts players in delivering positive, inspiring, and empowering anti-violence messages and calls to action in schools and communities through in-school engagements, youth leadership development, public service announcements, and general public education in the community and at football games in Toronto. An on-line curriculum and toolkits will be developed integrating violence prevention, consent, bystander interventions, gender equality, healthy, equal relationships, as well as addressing the role of men and boys in reducing and eliminating violence against women and girls.
