Purpose: This 24 month project will engage girls and young women aged 15-24 years living in the Alexandra Park community of Toronto in identifying and addressing barriers to their economic prosperity. Through engagement with local businesses and community residents, girls and young women will expand their networks and generate opportunities to benefit from recent revitalization and redevelopment efforts in the community. An advisory committee composed of young women and key stakeholders will be established to provide support throughout the project and will remain a community asset to provide guidance for future initiatives in the area of economic prosperity for young women.
