Purpose: This 28-month project will use an intersectional gender-based approach to identify and address gaps, barriers and opportunities in services to prevent and respond to gender based violence at St. Francis Xavier University. The project will work in partnership with key stakeholders on and off campus to develop and implement a community plan that ensures female students have adequate support services and university policies and procedures are in place to reduce and address violence. Special attention will be paid to frosh weeks, student events, and residence practices to reduce gender based violence.
