I would like very much dear friends if I could express
the confident minds, not only of the five,
but of all the people who have advanced the cause of women.
I was born into a family that values promoting equality
and fighting social injustice above all else.
Régine Alende Tshombokongo works tirelessly
to help Quebec immigrants.
She was the spokesperson for
Placer l'égalité au cœur de la diversité,
a Government of Quebec (ministère de la Culture,
des Communications et de la Condition féminine)
program that helps immigrant girls learn about
gender equality and adapt to life in their new community.
My vision: to develop among young
immigrant women a taste for excellence.
That is the desire of methodical
and rigorous work, a sense of individual and
collective responsibilities in a Canadian society
based on justice, respect for diversity
and gender equality.
