What is Women’s History Month?

October is Women’s History Month in Canada. It is a time for Canadians to celebrate the achievements of women and girls as trailblazers throughout our history. It is also an opportunity for Canadians – particularly young Canadians – to learn about the important contributions of women and girls over time to our society and quality of life.

Women’s History Month includes two important commemorative dates for women and girls: International Day of the Girl on October 11th and Persons Day on October 18th.
